Harriet came to the studio and asked me to create a bespoke bridal comb. She has gorgeous long dark hair and had chosen to wear it up for her wedding. When she came to the studio she tried a few different styles and went on to chose a bespoke sparkly vintage comb combined with the design from the liberty hairpin for just a touch of pearl for the contrast.  Sometimes adding a  few pearls can make the sparkly stones pop even more.

It was a real pleasure to welcome Connie from Iconic Hair and make up into the studio this weekend along with some lovely brides and their guests.
Although I have seen many photos of brides that Connie has transformed, it was a real joy to observe her working to create the most impressive styles in minutes at our mini hair trial, make up and accessories day.

I was quite taken aback at the first sight of my newest headpiece 'Beatrice' in one of our brides hair. This piece has lots of little pastel toned flowers with warm gold wire and it looked fabulous at the back of our bride's up do, and I'm so glad that she has chosen it for her wedding next year.

All our brides who attended said it was really useful to be able to discuss both their hairstyles, make up and accessories and were able to picture how it will all look together when they walk down the aisle on their wedding day.

We are just back from a wonderful weekend down in Exeter for our second time at The Bride Show. We had a wonderfully busy couple of days, chatting to lots of brides about their headpieces and jewellery, with so many trying on the pieces from my collection.

I'm always fascinated seeing my headpieces on different people, it amazes me how unique and different each bride looks.  It's also interesting to see the pieces worn in different ways to reflect each individual, and then made more unique by customising the design even further.

It was a pleasure to see a few brides fall for my newest design 'Honey' with gorgeous warm gold tones, pretty little flowers and rose gold accents, all combined with lots of clear Swarovski crystals proving that dazzling sparkle.

I've had such a busy few weeks here at Hey Jules!
I thought I would take some time to share some pictures from recent weddings, starting today with Lisa & Darren's wedding.
Lisa was my competition winner and was married in May.  I made her a bridal comb and earrings, and made bespoke bracelets for her bridesmaids. I thoroughly enjoyed working with you Lisa and so pleased that you won the competition!

I started work on a new collection with the first piece being this new vine, photographed by Liberty & Pearl.  It's an organic piece with a branch like halo with clusters of keshi pearls and little branches, and can be worn this way with the tendrils gently sweeping down onto the face, or the other way sweeping upwards, and  it even works well worn asymmetrically.
The design is inspired by 2 of my other pieces, the Faith vine and this hairpin shown below.   I think it has to be my new favourite!

Here is a preview of a bridal order just completed.  I feel really rather privileged to be designing accessories for this particular lady as she will be wearing a gorgeous Sassi Holford bridal gown on her wedding day, a dress designer whom I greatly admire.

I also made some bracelets for her 4 young bridesmaids, which were each personalised with an initial and a crystal charm, along with a few other crystals to add a touch of her accent colour.
