elegant Regency Style country house Wedding Shoot

Queen Elizabeth wore her crowns and headpieces with such grace and beauty. It has been hard knowing what to post over the last week since the news of her passing, but I have been captivated by her beauty and her own love of headpieces and jewellery! What better way to finally share this styled shoot as our very own tribute to Her Majesty's style and charisma.

A few months ago the North Devon Wedding Network members gathered at Moreton House in North Devon, a stunning grade-II listed Georgian house. We wanted to create a full glamour, romantic affair in the dream-like surroundings of the ballroom, the dining room, the piano entrance hall and the sweeping staircase.

I created this unique headpiece with opal, blush and soft mint  stones, combined with lots of diamanté and tiny silver seed beads. I wanted to create something grand and structured with some height and plenty of sparkle, but in an elegant way.

Finishing the band by covering with a suitable coloured ribbon helps it to blend in and 'disappear' leaving just the beautiful stones to sparkle and shine. A matching set of jewellery was then created to tie in perfectly with the headpiece.

To be perfectly honest, I don't generally advise wearing a necklace, earrings and bracelet together with a crown headpiece, but on this occasion and for this particular look it worked perfectly! I think keeping the jewellery to classic shapes and well co-ordinated is key to pulling this look off. The jewellery was all made with the same raw materials, the bracelet matched the headpiece, and the earrings and necklace matched leading to an overall cohesive look.

The beautiful dresses and suits were provided from Always & Forever and sublime flowers by Blossom & Butterflies.

The brides make up was created by the talented Kath from Stylesister and hair curled and styled by Laura of Enchantment Hair Studio

A banquet all set with beautiful fresh pastel flowers which smelt divine and soft wades of fabric styled by Do Me A Favour and Delicate Weddings, and this stunning cake by Peboryon.

For the evening shots, we literally let the brides hair down creating a more 'relaxed-formal' end to the day. The crown was put safely to one side and the hair adorned with my Angel Pearl and Leaf Pins for a soft romantic touch, with some sparkly stud pearl drop earrings, and a classic graduated pearl bracelet.
